Project 365 - Day 45
Allan

I have a tendency to "adopt" close friends and think of them as surrogate siblings.

My extended family is large and wide spread, geographically as well as personality wise: from Cowgirls and Goofballs, to MasterBrains and Humanitarians, to Angels and Chocolate Goddesses =D

The common denominator is the goodness and strength in these people's hearts.

Meet my friend and "brother" Allan:

Happy Sunday, everyone - and special congratulations to Holly, and to Steve (-slj) on their respective engagements. Blessings and hugs to you.

xoxo

Nice to "meet" you Allan.

Great job Anita! I like the first and last photos the best.

Have a great week!

Beautiful work...I especially like the icicles and the first pic of the snow covered tree. If you are playing with my eyes, did you add blue filtering? There's something about the snow that makes it jump off the tree and the distant objects. :)

Lor: Those are my favorites as well... Although there were several amongst the 150 frames shot last night. I was too tired to go through them all meticulously.

Steve (commenting on the previous post ;o) ): I shot all of these using macro lenses, adding a circular polarizing filter on a few pics... The colors are very true to the natural sunset though - below freezing temperatures make for an incredibly blue sky up here.

Digital cameras have intelligent light sensors - too intelligent at times. They tend to record snow as either gray, or over exposed (washed out white). I try to work around this using advanced exposure.

LOL... ok, I know you replied to Steve in English but since I know nothing about photography (except good photography when I see it :-) you may as well have written your response in Danish :-)

Looks like you two had a good laugh taking these photos. Good job 'sis'.

Per your Message to Steve.... I believe the light sensor is what is wrong with my camera =( I have blue snow here!! I need to change my WB a bit, 18% perhaps!

Or just get the 880 ordered!! S'pecially since I need it for Belize.

Lovely as usual! Both the subject and the photography! ;)

Michelle: You know I am happiest when trolling around with my cam :)

Did you order the 880 yet? I am quite pleased with mine, great little back-up.

Thanks Tanya. I adore my chosen family :)
